This was not my favorite comedy movie, it did have good jokes but they were not all funny. The acting was well and the directing was done very well. This movie had a very good storyline but the comedy aspect of it was not that funny. I recommend this movie to those who would enjoy a good storyline and would not except so much out of a comedy movie.

4. Write a review of this movie.

This movie was a good movie; it held suspense and also mystery because the viewer does not know who is threatening Stu. There are no clues throughout the movie for the viewer to know what is going to happen. The acting was very well and the choice of actors was very well portrayed. The directing was very well done and the storyline was very good but the movie was also too short in my opinion. I recommend this movie to those who like suspense and mystery because it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering who the mysterious caller is.

  1. Write a review of this movie.

Point Break was a very good action movie. It meets all the conventions that make an action movie, the police were involved, there was a love interest and the criminals who were being chased. The movie was very unpredictable, you never knew what was going to happen next and it kept the viewer on their feet. There were just enough explosions and battle scenes and they did not overpower the whole story. The director captured every angle of the movie making the viewer see the action from all different angles. The acting was done very well except for one actor who played Johnny Utah. He did not have much expression and it was very hard to take him seriously but overall it was good acting. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves action movies and would like a story line to the movie and does not only want to see explosions. I also recommend this movie to those who love a good story line to a movie and the movie is not predicable.

Along came Polly was a very good movie. It contained betrayal, love at first sight and comedy. The comedy was put in the right places of the movies, never leaving the viewer bored and uninterested. The directing was done very well, you saw all the actors’ expressions and it never let you wondering how they may be reacting to the situation. The acting was very well done. Ben Stiller was very funny and Jennifer Aniston played her role of a down to earth girl very well. The pro’s of this movie was that it never left you bored, there was enough comedy for those who are not interested in romance but there was also enough romance making a very well done romantic comedy. I would recommend this movie to those who love to watch romantic movies but also those who love to watch comedy. There is enough for both interests and the movie is not drown with romance.

Logo Rama

This movie was very well done. It not only showed many different logos but made you think as to why these logos were specifically used. Behind every logo there is a meaning. At the end of the movie there is an oil spill symbolizing how the industry of oil is growing bigger each day and how this development will be a very large part in everyone’s life and it will destroy our world. The role of the villain was played by Ronald McDonald, in my opinion signifying how a worldwide fast food corporation is evil to our health’s and Weight Watchers being the police men who are trying to stop Ronal McDonald incorporating Watchers are the “good guys” watching over us and are trying to help the population in not destroy our health. There are many logos in this movie; in my opinion all these logos represent how we are taking advantage of our world. In the early 1900’s, when people did not have as much, they were simpler times and the people appreciated what they had but in the world of today, all these logo’s are making our world appreciate less of the small things. In the end, there is an oil spill that kills the logo’s making the two survives realizes that these logo’s should not have been such a big part of their lives, bringing them back to appreciate what they have.

Evaluate

-Carry out tests to evaluate how your finished product satisfied each of the specific requirements listed in your design specifications.

When I completed editing my PSA, I showed my writer and also a friend who was not in my group to see if it met the listed requirements. When I showed the writer, Arianna Katola, the liked what I captured of the Vancouver footage and she thought of the technique of the athletes and how much practice they have to do in perfecting their tricks. I also showed a class mate, Alexandra Lato, and she also thought I captured the athlete in a good way and also showed the work and the commitment an athlete has to have in joining the Olympics.

Based on your results, evaluate the overall impact of the product on both individuals and society.

The overall impact of the product on both individuals and society is entertainment but also an understanding of what these athletes have to go through before performing. They have to train and practice everyday to reach the Olympics. The overall impact is people understand that many are trying to make their dreams come true in the Olympics and it is hard work and dedication in reaching their dream.

Explain how the product could have been improved.

The product could have been improved by trying to fit different action shots of the snowboard or also of the skier. By having different action shots it is showing the viewer that it takes a lot of practice to perfect these hard moves.

Evaluate your performance during each stage of the design cycle (include both strengths and weaknesses). Suggest ways in which your performance could be improved (what would you do differently).

Investigate: My strength during the investigate cycle was that I put detail in how passionate I am of this topic. It is a very popular topic and many are suffering from bullying. My weakness during the investigate stage was that I could have investigate further on why bullying does exist and found more research about the problem, facts and statistics I was not aware about. If I had the opportunity to improve my work I would do more research into why this problem does exist and I would put greater detail into exactly what is bullying because there are many forms of bullying and I would include and explain the other forms of bullying.

Design: My strength in design cycle was that I knew exactly what I needed to know and information on bullying since at the end of our original PSA we were planning to put to put a statistic. My weakness during the design cycle was that I only had one source of information and I should have researched on further sources in helping me edit. If I had the opportunity to improve my work I would research more tutorials on different editing programs because you are never sure of what may happen and in my case, our tape did get destroyed and I did not end up using Windows Movie Maker but the editing program at school and I was not aware of the program. If I had the chance to improve my work I would research different editing programs, making sure if anything happens I would be ready to face it.

Plan: My strength in planning was I created a very simple schedule making it easy to follow. I had a very strong grasp of how I was going to edit our PSA and I put great detail into what I would like this PSA to accomplish. My weakness was that I did not have many ideas of where to edit our PSA. If I had the opportunity to improve my work I would research different editing programs knowing if one did not work there was always a possibility of others.

Create: My strength on creating was since the Olympics were going on at the same time I was editing my PSA, I was very motivated in editing my PSA and I had many ideas. When I began to work I made myself focus on what exactly I wanted to do and what exactly I had to do. I took my ideas and used the footage given in trying to make a good PSA. My weakness on creating my PSA was I did not experiment a lot with the footage given to me. I did mix and match different clips but I do not think I experimented that much with the footage. If I had the opportunity to improve my creation I would experiment more with the footage and also with the special effects in trying to make a good PSA.

Assessment Criteria-Technology

Criteria A- Investigate

5

I explained the problem of bullying in detail and I discussed its relevance in great detail. I investigated the problem and looked up information on sites but I did not look up many editing sites, therefore I deserve a 5. I described methods for appropriate testing to evaluate the product/solution against the design specification. Bullying is known to everyone but not many people understand the effect of people that is why when doing this PSA we researched what exactly does a person go through when being bullied or being a bully. Also what the person can do in trying to fix their bullying problem.

Criteria B- Design

5

I researched different design and evaluated the pros and cons of each design. I explained the pros and cons in detail and reason why or why not they are sufficient in this project. I evaluated the chosen design and listen in detail why I have chosen the design.

Criteria C- Plan

6

I produced a schedule in detail with how much time it would take me to complete all the steps. I designed a very simple schedule to make the process easier to work around. I evaluated my schedule and listed the pros and cons that I may face with my schedule.

 Criteria D- Create

5

Before creating my project there was a problem and the solution was I had to edit Vancouver footage. I used the appropriate techniques and equipment, I experimented with the editing program before beginning to edit making sure I understood the program. I followed my schedule and completed my project on time.

Criteria F- Attitudes in Technology

6

I consistently displayed a positive attitude in both aspects. I attended every filming session and also help. I had to face a big problem when loosing our footage and I kept a positive attitude and did my best with the footage on Vancouver in trying to make a good PSA.

I am finished my PSA, it came out in my opinion very well. I tried to use the best footage of Vancouver showing the athletes practice and work hard and preparing for the Olympics. The editing program was easy to work with and there was not really any problem I encountered when editing the footage.

Our teacher could not take out our film and it has been ripped. I am currently now editing vancouver footage. I have begun looking over all the footage i have been provided with and i am beginning to edit flips and tricks of snowboarders. I am going to make a clip on the olympic sport with music in the background. So far i have edited more than half and it is going good. I am using the editor system provided by the school. It is simple but a bit of getting usto. I think that it will turn out good seeing the unfortunate events we have been through.

Creation

My director is finished filming but there has been a problem because our tape is stuck in the camera. Our teacher is trying to get it out but he is not sure he can.
